Columbia, Mo. - In their final day of Grand Prix competition, Missouri's swimmers continued to use prelim rounds to get in additional practice for Big 12 Championships, held February 23-26 in Austin, Texas.
Dominique Bouchard continued her absolute dominance of the backstroke competitions as she won the 200 back prelims in 2:11.29, a full 3.57 seconds faster than the second place finisher. The time was an Olympic Trial qualifier. Bouchard's time the day before in 100 back finals stands as the fourth fastest time in history by a Canadian swimmer.
Overall, the Tigers qualified for `A' finals twelve times over the weekend. The majority of swimmers scratched from finals in order to continue their rest for the Big 12 Championship.
