Tigers Face Drury in Final Dual of the Season

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving teams wrap up dual action on Saturday, Jan. 25 when the team travels to Springfield, Mo., to take on Drury at 1 p.m. at Breech Pool.
Both Drury squads are the defending Division II national championships. In fact, the men have won the last nine Division II crowns and the women have won four of the list five titles. Both teams are currently ranked No. 1 in the CSCAA Division II national rankings.
The Tigers are coming off competition against Big Ten foes Iowa, Indiana and Illinois (women only) on Jan. 18. The men earned a split, defeating Iowa 168-131 and falling to No. 15 Indiana 173-124. The women went 1-2, with a win over Illinois (154-145) and losses to No. 11 Indiana (170-121) and Iowa (164-135).
Sophomore Diver Lauren Reedy was the star of the meet for Mizzou, as she swept both springboard events and set a new school record in the process. Reedy tallied 342.55 points to win the 1-meter, besting redshirt junior Loren Figueroa's previous school mark of 335.3. Reedy also won the 3-meter with 328.95 points. She was honored as the SEC Female Diver of the Week on Jan. 18 for her achievements.
Following the dual with Drury, Missour returns to the pool for the two-day Tiger Invite, Jan. 31 - Feb. 1, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
