ZOU NOTES
• Mizzou is off to a 7-0 start for the second time under Robin Pingeton and the first time since 2013-14 when the Tigers also began 7-0.
• The Tigers won the Hilton Concord Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Saint Mary's with two victories over the weekend in Moraga, Calif.
• Junior forward Jordan Frericks (Quincy, Ill.) was named MVP of the Hilton Concord Thanksgiving Classic after averaging 17.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals during the wins over Northeastern and Saint Mary's.
• Freshman forward Cierra Porter (Columbia, Mo.) was also named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 15.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 block over the weekend.
• In just her fourth career game on Nov. 22 vs. Wake Forest, freshman guard Sophie Cunningham (Columbia, Mo.) set a new school record with 42 points, which ties for the highest single-game total in NCAA Division I this season. Cunningham broke a nearly 30-year-old record of 41 points that was established by Renee Kelly on Jan. 25, 1986 vs. Oklahoma.
EARLY SEASON NOTABLES
• Mizzou head coach Robin Pingeton signed a new 5-year contract through the 2019-20 season that was announced on Oct. 2. She earned her 85th victory at Mizzou on Friday vs. Northeastern.
• The Tigers are 40-1 in nonconference home games at Mizzou Arena under Pingeton.
• Senior guard Maddie Stock (Town & Country, Mo.) moved into sole possession of sixth in program history on Nov. 28 with 117 baskets from long range. She drained a career-high 54 triples in 2014-15.
• Redshirt junior guard Lianna Doty (St. Louis, Mo.) missed last season but still ranks fifth in Mizzou career history with 336 assists. She is one assist away from tying current Tigers assistant coach RaeShara Brown for No. 4 on the all-time list.
• The Tigers are ranked 15th in the initial NCAA RPI rankings released on Monday.
ABOUT SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...
• The Redhawks are 4-3 over the first seven games of the Rekha Patterson era in Cape Girardeau. Patterson took over the program after spending the past two years as the associate head coach at Ball State. She previously was a member of the Baylor coaching staff for the first program in NCAA Women's Basketball history to finish a perfect 40-0 en route to a national championship.
• Senior guard Olivia Hackmann leads the Redhawks in scoring with 18.0 points per game. She is from the mid-Missouri region in Chamois, Missouri, and was a prep standout for Helias High School in Jefferson City.
• Senior forward Erin Bollmann is averaging 11.0 points and a team-best 8.6 rebounds off the bench for the Redhawks.
• SEMO is 2-3 away from the Show Me Center this season, going 2-1 on the road and 0-2 at a neutral site. The Redhawks have earned road victories at Western Illinois (Nov. 24) and Alabama A&M (Nov. 18).
