Yuen Ties for Eighth as Mizzou Places Sixth at Bruzzy Challenge

The Tigers bested two Top-50 teams at the tournament
CARROLLTON, Texas -- Mizzou Women's Golf finished a solid week at the Bruzzy Challenge as the Tigers placed sixth out of 15 teams, carding a 920 (301-307-312). The Tigers managed to stay three strokes ahead of No. 49 San Diego State and nine ahead of No. 50 Texas Tech. The Bruzzy Challenge was played at the Maridoe Golf Club right outside of Dallas and consisted of a field with six squads ranked on the GolfStat Top-50 list.
Sophomore standout Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) made a huge comeback from Monday, finishing in the top-10 at T-8th. After sitting 8-over yesterday through 36 holes, Yuen moved up 12 spots on the leaderboard to snag the top-10 position. Yuen shot just 2-over Tuesday to end the event 10-over (226).
Junior Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.) has had a strong showing the last two tournaments, placing T-16th in a field of 81 participants this week. This is her second best event of the year after recording a top-10 finish last week at the MountainView Collegiate. Hendrickson had a solid start Monday in Dallas, tallying just 6-over through two rounds and finished the tournament 14-over (230).
Junior Amanda Kim (O'Fallon, Mo.) also had her second best event of the year, finishing T-32nd and recording 18-over (234). Kim made a comeback Tuesday after finishing with the second lowest scoring average on par 5s. Junior Emma Allen (Southampton, England) finished T-39th after logging 11-over Tuesday. Senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) finished her final 18 holes 8-over to place T-51st.
