@MizzouTennis Hits the Road to Face Old Dominion, Morgan State on Wednesday

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team hits the road for the first time this spring for a doubleheader on Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Norfolk, Va. The Tigers open action against host Old Dominion at 11:30 a.m. CT before a 4 p.m. CT match against Morgan State. Both contests will take place at Old Dominion's Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
The Tigers enter Wednesday a perfect 3-0 on the spring season, with wins over Saint Louis (7-0), Southeast Missouri State (4-0) and Arkansas State (4-1). Both junior Mackenzy Middlebrooks and sophomore Ellie Wright undefeated on the young season, with 3-0 marks in three duals. Middlebrooks is 2-0 at No. 1 singles and 1-0 at No. 2 action, while all three of Wright's wins are at No. 4. Additionally, the duo are a perfect 2-0 at the No. 1 doubles position, upping their overall season record to 11-2 together.
Old Dominion is 3-1 so far this season, with its only loss to No. 4 Duke. Most recently, the Monarchs went 1-1 in the 2019 ITA Kickoff Weekend, as the team swept Nebraska, 4-0, before falling to Duke.
Morgan State, the reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champions, owns an 0-3 record, with losses to Saint Francis, Stetson and Georgia Southern.
Following the doubleheader, Mizzou returns home to the Mizzou Tennis Complex to host Virginia Tech on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. CT.
