
Goodwin Takes Second to Highlight Day One at Georgia Diving Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior Kyle Goodwin (Aurora, Colo.) earned runner-up honors in the men's 1-meter competition to highlight day one action for the Mizzou divers at the three-day Georgia Diving Invitational.
Overall, a total of four Tiger divers advanced to day one finals at the Invitational.
KEY PERFORMANCES
After finishing third in prelims with 327.05 points, Goodwin posted a finals score of 364.80 to finish second overall in the men's 1-meter springboard competition. The senior scored at least 63 points on four of his dives, including a 65.1 on his final dive to finish 34 points ahead of the third-place finisher.
Three Tiger women earned spots in Friday finals after strong prelims performances. Senior Payton Conrad (Omaha, Neb.) led the women's contingent with an eighth-place finish after a finals score of 294.30 points, 10 points better than her prelims total. Additionally, freshman Tally Brown (State College, Pa.) placed 10th with 282.30 points in finals, while freshman Sarah Rousseau (Melbourne, Fla.) posted 254.85 points in finals for 12th overall.
