Mizzou to Face Nationally-Ranked Foes in Kentucky Quad Meet

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving teams take on nationally-ranked programs this week as the Tigers face No. 3/7 North Carolina State, Arkansas and host and No. 17/14 Kentucky in a two-day meet in Lexington, Ky. Day one action commences on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. CT, followed by a 9 a.m. CT start on Friday, Nov. 8.
Swimmers are limited to eight swims in the meet, and cannot exceed five individual events.
MIZZOU IN THE RANKINGS
The Tiger men currently rank No. 4 nationally in the CSCAA TYR Top 25 poll, while the women check in at No. 9. The men's team, which were No. 13 in the first poll, vaulted up the rankings thanks to a 190.5-109.5 win over then-No. 7 Florida on Oct. 18. The women stayed in the top 10 at No. 9 after a ranking of No. 6 in the first poll.
TIGERS OWN SOME OF THE NATION'S TOP TIMES
Nine different Tigers own national top 10 individual times heading into the weekend, including five who rank in the top three in their respective events. Leading the way is senior Nick Alexander, who owns the nation's fastest 200 back time (1:43.25) so far this season.

LAST TIME OUT
TheTigers set eight Hammons Student Center pool records in a sweep over Missouri State on Nov. 2 in Springfield, Mo. The Tiger men posted a 166.5-70.5 win over the Bears, while the women were victorious 160-73. Overall, the Tigers combined to sweep all 26 events on the day.
Three Tigers, senior Caleb Hicks, sophomore Sarah Rousseau and freshman Meredith Rees all won two events each against the Bears, while six others, Rees, senior Nick Staver, sophomores Allison Bloebaum, Megan Keil and Danny Kovac and freshman Carlo Lopez all set pool records.
UP NEXT
Mizzou returns home to the Mizzou Aquatics Center for the Long Course Trials Qualifier on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. CT. The Tigers then host the three-day Mizzou Invite, Nov. 20-22, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
