Mizzou Wrestling Seeks Tenth Straight Conference Title at MAC Championships

The Tigers have won consecutive conference titles dating back to the 2011-12 season
COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 5 Mizzou Wrestling heads to the 2021 MAC Wrestling Championships this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 26-27). The two-day championship will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Tigers will look to win their ninth straight MAC Tournament title and tenth straight conference title. Mizzou has been crowned the MAC Champion every year since joining in 2012-13. Before joining the MAC, the Tigers won the Big 12 Championship in the 2011-12 season.
Paragraph about allocations The Mac Championships will determine which MAC wrestlers qualify for the NCAA Championships in March. Between the 10 weight classes, 25 spots will be up for grabs.
Nine of the Tigers' starters are ranked in the NCAA Coaches Poll, with Mauller (149) and Hart (141) ranked third and fourth, respectively, in their weight classes.
Mizzou enters this weekend with a perfect 10-0 record, including a 4-0 record in MAC duals. Six Tigers enter this weekend with undefeated records: redshirt junior Allan Hart (141), junior Brock Mauller (149), freshman Keegan O'Toole (165), redshirt sophomore Peyton Mocco (174), redshirt sophomore Jeremiah Kent (184) and freshman Rocky Elam (197).

MIZZOU AT THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY
Mizzou will look to win to win its tenth straight conference tournament title and ninth straight MAC Tournament title. The Tigers won the Big 12 Championship in the 2011-12 season, before leaving to join the MAC. Mizzou has claimed the MAC Tournament title every season since joining the league.
Junior Brock Mauller (149) will look to win his third straight MAC title. Junior Jarrett Jacques (157) will look to reclaim the MAC title he won in 2019 after finishing in second place last season. Redshirt junior Allan Hart (141) also finished as a MAC runner-up last season.

Should Mizzou wrestle to seed at the MAC Championships, the Tigers would qualify wrestlers in nine of the ten weight classes (125, 133, 141, 149, 157, 165, 175, 184 and 197).
