Mizzou Tennis Hosts Illinois State for Sunday Doubleheader

Mizzou will play at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis will continue its spring season on Sunday as the Tigers host Illinois State for a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 7. The matches are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. CT and 1 p.m. CT on both days.
Mizzou swept a pair of doubleheaders last weekend to improve to 8-2 on the season, defeating Omaha 7-0 and 4-1 on Sunday, Jan. 31. Bronte Murgett (Holmfirth, Great Britain) and Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) have led the way for Mizzou in singles play this season, as the enter the weekend with records of 10-2 and 11-3, respectively. Murgett and Nash have the best marks in duals play for doubles action, checking in with marks of 5-2 and 6-2, respectively, this season.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mizzou will not be able to accommodate fans at home indoor matches for the 2021 season. This decision was based off the SEC's COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC's Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force guidelines, which are available on SECsports.com.
