Mizzou improves to 14-9 on the season

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 47 Mizzou Tennis (14-9, 1-6 SEC) swept Saint Louis (2-4, 0-0 A-10), 7-0, on Thursday afternoon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex. With the win, Mizzou improved to 14-9 on the season, including a 13-3 mark in nonconference matches. Mizzou's 14 wins now rank as the seventh-most in a season in program history.

DOUBLES

Mizzou won all three matches in doubles action, including a 6-0 win on court three from senior Marta Oliveira (Lisbon, Portugal) and senior Gabrielle Goldin (Bradenton, Fla.).

SINGLES

In singles play, Mizzou on each match, winning in straight sets in three of six matches. On courts one and two, Mizzou needed three sets to earn victories. Senior Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) managed to beat Elizabeth Mintusova, 2-6, 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (8-6), while freshman Valentina Vazquez Pongruber (Santiago, Chile) beat Mariona Perez, 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 7-6 (7-4).

UP NEXT

Mizzou will next head to Drake for a nonconference road matchup on Sunday, March 21. The match is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. CT.
