Wrestling Set to Start New Season with Missouri Duals Sunday

Mizzou wrestling starts a new season with Missouri Duals, Sunday, Nov. 2, inside Hearnes Center. The Tigers invited five in-state programs to Columbia to showcase the sport of wrestling in Missouri. Teams attending are Central Methodist, Central Missouri, Drury, Maryville and Missouri Valley.
Mizzou will host a clinic before the event, starting at 9:45 a.m. CT. A ticket to Missouri Duals grants you access to the clinic, hosted by two-time National Champion Keegan O'Toole and two-time National Team Member Jarrett Jacques. Round one of the duals will then begin at noon CT.
In the first round, Missouri will take on Drury, followed by Maryville at 1:30 p.m. CT and Central Methodist at 3 p.m. CT. A full schedule for the day is below. This will mark the first time in program history that the Tigers have faced off against all three programs.
Slotted returning starters from last season for the Tigers will be Kade Moore (133), Josh Edmond (149), J Conway (157) and Cam Steed (174). Steed is the only returning All-American from a year ago, finishing seventh at 165 pounds. The remaining four student-athletes all qualified for the NCAA tournament, with Moore and Edmond being multi-year qualifiers.
Redshirt freshman Mack Mauger is expected to take over the 125-pound starting role, along with classmate Aeoden Sinclair at 184 pounds. True freshman Seth Mendoza is scheduled to make his collegiate debut at 141 pounds, with Edmond moving up this season to 149. Additionally, Tiger Style saw success in the transfer portal during the offseason, signing Max Mayfield (165) and Evan Bates (197) from Northwestern. Both transfers are multi-time NCAA qualifiers looking to become All-Americans in their final year of eligibility.
