Softball Signs Five on National Signing Day

The Tigers add Audrey Cathey, Katie Guilliam, Katelynn Knight, Hadley Borders, and Gracie Britton for the No. 23-ranked recruiting class according to on3.
Mizzou softball has signed Audrey Cathey (Spring Hill, Tenn.), Katelyn Guilliam (Summerville, S.C.), Katelynn Knight (Owasso, Okla.), Hadley Borders (Bowling Green, Ky.), and Gracie Britton (Ashland, Mo.), head coach Larissa Anderson announced on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
These five complete the Tigers' Class of 2026, which ranks as the No. 23 class nationally according to on3.com.
Audrey Cathey // 5'6 // 3B/UTL // Spring Hill, Tennessee // Summit HS
"We're thrilled to officially welcome Audrey Cathey to the Mizzou Softball family. Audrey is an incredible competitor who embodies everything we value in our program; toughness, character, and an unwavering commitment to getting better every day," Anderson said. "She plays the game with passion and purpose, and we believe her energy and work ethic will have an immediate impact on our team culture. We can't wait to see her grow and represent Mizzou at the highest level."

Audrey Cathey is a 5-6 third baseman and utility player from Spring Hill, Tenn. Cathey is a four-star prospect, who is ranked as the No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee and is rated as the No. 36 player in the class of 2026.
Cathey rounded out her first three seasons of high school ball with a .421 batting average, as well as scoring 88 runs, recording 30 doubles, 13 triples, 16 home runs, and 69 RBIs from the leadoff spot.
Through her junior year, Cathey has earned numerous accolades, including several in 2025: District Defensive MVP, All-Nashville Area Big Schools, Columbia All-Area Team, Middle High School Sports Award – Player of the Year finalist, and Tennessean Softball Player of the Year finalist. Additionally, she is a three-time All-District Team honoree and a 2024 WillCo Softball Player of the Year finalist, as well as the District Rookie of the Year (2023).
Cathey played travel ball with the Tennessee Mojo – Rams/Fisher, and this summer posted a .506 batting average, .600 on-base percentage, .914 slugging percentage, with 12 doubles, three triples, five home runs, 31 RBIs, and 28 runs scored. In 2023, she helped guide her travel team to a 16u PGF National Championship.
Cathey will join a long line of collegiate athletes, as both her parents competed at the NCAA level. Her father, Michael, played football at the University of Tennessee, and her mom, Fannie, was a two-sport athlete (volleyball and softball) at Lee University.

"I chose Missouri because it felt like the best fit for both my academic and athletic goals. The university's nutrition program will set me up for a successful future, and I really connected with the school's blue-collar work ethic that matches my own beliefs. I was also drawn to the opportunity to compete in the SEC. I appreciated the coaching staff's philosophies and the way they lead their program. Most importantly, when I visited campus, it immediately felt like home," Cathey said.
Katie Guilliam // 5'6 // INF // Summerville, S.C. // Summerville HS
"We're thrilled to welcome Katie Guilliam to the Mizzou Softball family. Katie is an incredibly athletic shortstop from South Carolina who plays the game with speed, range, and confidence. She has great instincts on defense and the ability to make difficult plays look routine," Anderson said. "Offensively, she competes with energy and intent, and her all-around athleticism gives her the potential to impact the game in multiple ways. Katie's passion and work ethic make her a perfect fit for our culture, and we can't wait to see her growth at Mizzou."

Katie Guilliam is a 5-6 middle infielder from Summerville, SC. Guilliam is a four-star prospect rated as the No. 2 player in the Palmetto State, No. 23 positionally, and No. 56 nationally.
Guilliam is a three-time All-State First Teamer, four-time All-Region, and was the Low Country Player of the Year, and has tallied 213 career hits in three years of play. Overall, the senior is a six-time letter winner for Summerville High School.
The Summerville, S.C. native plays for LLG and helped guide her team to a runner-up finish at the 2024 PGF National Tournament. During that span, she was also an All-American at the PGF tournament as a sophomore.
Outside of the field, Gilliam is an exceptional student who is in the top 4% of her class and has earned distinguished honors in high school.
Guilliam is the second of her family to participate in an NCAA sport, as her brother, Ben, wrestled for Newberry College.

Katelynn "KK" Knight // 5'8 // C/3B // Owasso, Oklahoma // Owasso HS
"We're so excited about Katelynn's potential in our program. She's a left-handed hitter who can drive the ball to all fields and a technically sound catcher who takes pride in managing a pitching staff," Anderson said. "With her drive, competitiveness, and growth mindset, we can't wait to see how she develops and impacts our lineup."

Katelynn "KK" Knight is a 5'8 catcher and third baseman from Owasso, Oklahoma. The three-star product is rated as the No. 10-ranked catcher in the 2026 class according to the Extra Innings Extra Elite 100.
During her senior season, she played 32 games, finishing with 17 doubles, six home runs, one triple, 27 RBIs, with a .455 batting average and an on-base percentage of .586.
In 2025, Knight was the 6a District Player of the Year, All-Region, 12-large East First Team Catcher, and Starting Nine on the All-State Team. Overall, she was a three-time 6a District First Teamer and helped lead her team to a state championship in 2024.
Knight played travel ball with the Oklahoma Athletics' 18U Madden/Davis team. In the summer of 2025, she played 34 games, posting a .378 batting average, a .455 on-base percentage, four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 27 RBIs, and scoring five runs.
In the classroom, Knight was an All-Academic honoree for four straight years.
Knight's family tree consists of several NCAA athletes, as her dad, Frank, played baseball at Northwestern Louisiana State. Her sister, Paige, played softball for Oklahoma for one year before finishing her career at Tulsa, and her aunt, Stacy, played at Wichita State and concluded her career with New Mexico State.

"I chose Mizzou because of the incredible culture that's been built there. When Coach Anderson asked me what I looked for in a team, Mizzou embodied every part of my answer. The program's work ethic, team chemistry, and commitment to being the best are everything an athlete could hope to be part of. From the moment I first stepped on campus, it felt like home, and now I'm so grateful that I can officially call it that," Knight said.
Hadley Borders // 5'5 // OF //Bowling Green, Kentucky // South Warren HS
"Hadley Borders is a fierce competitor who knows how to win," Anderson said. "Her energy, athleticism, and drive are going to make an immediate impact on our program. She plays with heart, and that's exactly the kind of player we want representing Mizzou Softball."

Borders is a 5-5 outfielder from Spring Hill, Tenn. The three-star talent completed her first three years of high school with a .504 batting average, a .606 on-base percentage, and a 1.380 OPS.
During her 2025 season, she was named First Team All-State and was a part of the All-State Tournament Team.
Borders competed for the Louisville Sluggers Wathen 18U team and, in 2025, compiled a .494 batting average, with an on-base percentage of .589, an OPS of 1.246, and a fielding percentage of .966.
In the classroom, Hadley was named to the Academic All-State First Team and plays the ukulele in her free time.
Hadley comes from a family of softball players, as her mom, Kim, played at Louisiana Lafayette, and her sister, Taylor, attended Western Kentucky.

"I chose Mizzou because the first time I stepped on campus it felt like a home away from home," Hadley said.
Gracie Britton // 5'5 // C/INF // Ashland, Missouri // Southern Boone HS
"Gracie's story is what makes this so special. She's grown up right here in Ashland, surrounded by Mizzou Softball, and now she gets to live out that dream as a Tiger," Anderson said. "Graduating early to join us this spring shows her drive and dedication. We're thrilled to have her on board and can't wait to see her make an impact in black and gold."

Gracie Britton is a 5'5 catcher and infielder from Ashland, Missouri. She will join the Tigers in the spring season, after graduating from high school in December.
Throughout her high school career, Britton has been a four-time All-State performer, a three-time conference player of the year, and an NFCA All-Region honoree.
Outside of high school ball, she was an 18u AFCS National Champion.
Academically, Britton is a three-time Academic All-State honoree and was a member of the National Honor Society in high school.
Britton's dad competed at the NCAA level; Nick, her father, wrestled at Iowa State University.

"Everything feels like home here. I get to live out my dream while being minutes away from my friends and family. It has been a dream for me since I was a little girl," Britton said.
