COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou football running back Ahmad Hardy was named to the Football Writers Association of America All-America team on Thursday the publication announced. The FWAA named Hardy to the second team.
Hardy was previously named a first team All-American by the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, American Football Coaches Association, and Sporting News giving him four first-team All-America nods and earning him NCAA consensus All-America recognition – the 17th Tiger in program history to earn that designation. He would have become the fourth unanimous All-American in program history (Michael Sam – 2013; Roger Wehrli – 1968; Danny LaRose – 1960) with one more first-team honor.
In addition, Hardy becomes just the second running back in program history to receive All-America honors from the FWAA and the 18th player overall to earn an FWAA All-America nod.
