
Perez-Snyman Breaks Her Program Record on Track and Field's Final Day of Tyson Invitational

Three Tigers entered the school’s top-10 lists as the team capped off its indoor regular season.
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Missouri track and field concluded its indoor regular season during day two of the Tyson Invitational, where Kristi Perez-Snyman broke her school record in the triple jump on Saturday at Randal Tyson Track Center.
The senior jumped 1.88m (6-2) to top her previous best of 1.86m (6-1) on day two of the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational on Feb. 1. Claudina Diaz, also a senior, moved up to second in school history in the event with her result of 1.85m (6-0.75), her best since Feb. 12, 2022.
Rahel Broemmel and Anneken Viljoen set two other school records in the women's mile, taking eighth with a time of 4:42.81 and 10th in 4:43.93, respectively.
Jonathan Seremes continued to impress in the triple jump. In his second-ever collegiate competition, the sophomore won the event with 16.83m (55-2.75), beating out second place by a half meter (1-5.74). Sterling Scott took third place in the event.
In the men's shot put, Emanuele Bellanova set a personal best with a throw of 13.5m (44-3.5), while Brianna Lee did so in the women's 800m invitational in 2:09.62.

The Tigers look ahead to postseason action beginning with the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championship, which will run from Feb. 27 through March 1 at Fasken Indoor Track & Field Complex, hosted by Texas A&M.
