Women's Golf Opens Valspar Augusta Invitational Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women's golf continues the spring season Saturday, competing at the Valspar Augusta Invitational.
TOURNAMENT INFO
The tournament is slated for Saturday and Sunday with the 17-team field opening play on Saturday morning with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start. The teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Saturday before wrapping up the tournament with another 18 holes starting at 9 a.m. CT on Monday.
Joining the Tigers at the tournament are No. 34 Kentucky, No. 39 Indiana, Georgia Southern, Western Kentucky, Georgia State, Coastal Carolina, Northern Illinois, Yale, Xavier, Columbia, Daytona State, Minnesota, Illinois State, Furman, North Florida and host Augusta.
The tournament will be held at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
LAST TIME OUT
MU claimed its third team-title of the season in Arizona, posting the third best team-score in program history with a 37-under 827. Freshman Ebba Liljeberg led Mizzou with a third-place finish at 12-under. Overall, five-of-six Tigers placed inside the top-25 individually, with all six finishing the tournament under-par.
