Snyder Leads Men’s Golf Day One at The Hootie

Junior Brock Snyder turned in his best round of the season as he sits in the top 20 after 18 holes at The Hootie at Bulls Bay.
Snyder recorded a three-under 69 on Sunday, topping his previous season-best total by four strokes. The junior started strong with three birdies over the first four holes and finished with six birdies overall. He enters the second round in 17th place of 84 golfers.
Overall, four Tigers finished under par in the opening round. Junior Veikka Viskari carded a two-under 70, while senior Virgilio Paz and freshman Esteban Cruz Bonilla both tallied one-under 71s. For Cruz Bonilla, it marks the first time he finished under par in seven collegiate rounds as a freshman.
As a team, Mizzou is 13th place with a team score of -4.
The Tigers tee off day two in South Carolina at 9:30 a.m.
