
Track and Field Extends Outdoor Season at Raleigh Relays

A distance squad of 16 travels to Raleigh to represent Missouri.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou track and field's distance group prepares to compete in the Raleigh Relays on Thursday and Friday at Paul H. Derr Track Facility.
The men will open the meet on Thursday, beginning with the 1500m at 3:05 p.m. The women are slated for Friday's events, starting with the 1500m at 2:30 p.m.
TIGERS ON THE TRACK
Eight men will represent the Tigers across four events. Joshua Allison and Elijah Limo will run the 3000m steeplechase. Tyler Freiner and Drew Rogers will race in the 10,000m after Rogers set the school record in the event at last year's Raleigh Relays, clocking a 28:14.27. In the 1500m, Lasse Funck, Finn Russell, Ryder James and Carter Spradling will don the Black and Gold. James and Spradling will additionally race in the 5000m.
On the women's side, eight Tigers prepare to compete across three events. Brianna Lee, Allison Newman, Morgan Yeomans and Suzy Lecoutre will begin on Friday with the 1500m. Lecoutre will join Kobi Walker and Mirriam Chepkirui in the 5000m. Chepkirui and Monica Wanjiku will close out the meet with the 10,000m, with Wanjiku looking to follow up after notching the program's No. 2 all-time result with a 32:21.97 at last year's event.
RANKED TIGERS
Missouri has seven women and six men ranked in the top 50 of their individual event rankings following its opening meet at the Yellow Jacket Invitational.
Senior Skylar Ciccolini leads the women's squad with her winning throw and personal best of 57.45m (188-6) in javelin. Her mark currently stands as No. 1 on the national leaderboard, earning her Southeastern Conference Co-Field Athlete of the Week honors. Last year's national champion, Valentina Barrios, ranks third with her result of 55.06m (180-8). Three other javelin athletes claim spots on the top 50: No. 30 Morgan Cannon, No. 40 Marysa Flieg and No. 42 Val Galligan. Senior Petra Gombas headlines the women's hammer throw, notching No. 40 with a 56.81m (186-5). Marlena Tresnjo ranks 25th for high jump with a 1.72m (5-7.75).
Houston transfer Dillon Leacock paces the men at the No. 12 spot for 400m hurdles after crossing the finish line in 51.39. Junior Garik Pozecki ranks No. 29 for hammer throw with a 61.72m (202-6) while junior Chase Crawford represents the Black and Gold at No. 35 for shot put after recording a 17.26m (56-7.5). Three Tigers represent the distance squad for the 1500m. Andrew Hauser ranks 34th with a time of 3:50.52, followed by Ethan Hogan at 35th with a time of 3:50.61, and River Hardman in 37th with a time of 3:50.76.
PRIOR OUTDOOR CAMPAIGN
The Tigers capped off the 2025 outdoor campaign with historical performances at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championship, highlighted by Barrios becoming Mizzou's first individual champion for javelin, breaking her own school record with a 62.00m (203-5).
Callan Saldutto earned bronze in men's javelin with a personal-best throw of 76.88m (252-3) on his first attempt, joining Barrios in claiming First-Team All-America honors.
Alicia Burnett also capped off her season as an All-American, earning a spot on the second team after finishing 11th in the women's 100m semifinals in 11.11.
Skylar Coffey secured 21st in discus, throwing 55.59m (182-4) on his first attempt, earning honorable mention All-American status. The men concluded the season with a 15th-place finish.
Kristi Perez-Snyman and Claudina Diaz took home First and Second Team All-American honors for their respective sixth and 11th-place finishes in high jump.
The women's team finished 20th, its third-best finish in school history.
