
Women's Swimming Qualifies Six Athletes for NCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou swimming and diving qualified six swimmers from the women's squad to compete at the 2026 NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, the organization announced Wednesday. The competition will take place March 18-21 at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Two Tigers qualified for individual events at the championships. Karolina Bank will swim in the 100 and 200 breast while Zara Zallen will compete in the 100 breast and 100 free.
Bank secured her bid at the SEC Championships (Feb. 16-21) when she placed fourth in the 100 breast with a 58.96 time, the third fastest in Mizzou history. The Lafayette, Colorado, native ranks 25th amongst NCAA Division I swimmers in the event.
Zallen punched her ticket at the Mizzou Invitational (Nov. 20-22, 2025) with a 59.41 swim, setting the fourth fastest time in Mizzou history. The Boulder, Colorado, native sits at 31st against NCAA Division I swimmers in the event.
The women's 200 medley relay squad will also be making the trip to Atlanta. Libby Bakker, Zallen, Kylee Sullivan and Katie Kuehn earned their bid to the Championships after putting up a 1:35.95 performance at the Mizzou Qualifier (Feb. 28 – March 1). The squad is ranked 21st in the event against NCAA competition. Paige Striley will serve as an alternate.
UP NEXT
Mizzou's diving squad will travel to College Station, Texas, to compete in the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Rec Center Natatorium, March 9-11.
