The Mizzou men's basketball team added another top-50 portal player and inside threat to its roster on Wednesday, officially signing Bryson Tiller.
Tiller becomes the first player in the history of the Border War to transfer directly from one rival to the other, joining the Tigers after starting 31 games as a rookie at Kansas this past season. One of the nation's top freshman forwards, Tiller was one of just four rookies in the country to total 250 points, 200 rebounds and 40 blocks in 2025-26.
Overall, Tiller ranks as high as the nation's No. 34 transfer by 247Sports, while also placing in the top 40 in the country by ESPN and CBS Sports.
"Bryson is an extremely talented player with both size and skill," said Whitten Family Head Coach Dennis Gates. "Having built a relationship with him since he was a freshman in high school, we have watched Bryson develop at a high level into an impactful basketball player on both sides of the court. On the offensive end, he can shoot, pass and put the ball on the floor, while defensively, he has high rebounding and block rates. Bryson can maximize his potential in our system and we look forward to having him join our program."
Tiller started 31 of the final 32 games for the Jayhawks, averaging 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, while adding 45 blocks and 35 assists in 35 games overall. Highlighting his freshman campaign was keying a victory over No. 1 Arizona on Feb. 9, collecting 18 points and eight rebounds. In total, Tiller scored in double figures 13 times with a season-high 21 points in a victory over No. 13 BYU, adding four contests of double-digit boards.
A 6-foot-11 forward from Atlanta, Georgia, Tiller joined Kansas as a five-star recruit who ranked as high as No. 20 by 247Sports. He earned All-OTE Second Team honors in 2024 after tallying 12.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game.
Tiller is the second transfer to join the Tigers during the spring transfer period. Along with another top-50 transfer in Jamier Jones and the nation's No. 4 freshman recruiting class, Tiller joins a Mizzou program that is coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament bids and double-digit SEC-win campaigns for the first time since joining the conference in 2012.
