
Women’s Golf Advances to Fourth Round; Secures Best Finish in School History

Carlsbad, Calif. – The Mizzou women's golf team continues to rewrite its record book during the 2025-26 season, finishing the third round in the top 15 to make the initial cut at the NCAA Championship Finals and in the process, clinching the best finish in school history.
The Tigers finish the third round in 11th place as the field was trimmed to 15 teams following Sunday's action. Mizzou owns a 54-hole score of +8 after a one-over 289 to advance to the final round of stroke play on Monday.
By advancing to Monday's action, the Tigers have secured the best finish in school history with a guaranteed top-15 finish. The 2005 team held the previous standard when it placed 16th in a 24-team field (no cuts).
The Tigers finished the day strong to earn its top-15 finish. The team's four scorers played the final six holes at five-under to move back above the cut line.
Junior Fleur van Beek led the Tigers on the day and anchored the late push. She carded the best score by a Mizzou golfer at the NCAA Finals with a two-under 70 – topping the previous record of 71 by Denise Knaebel in 2005 and Jade Zamora in round one. Highlighting her performance was three birdies in the final four holes on 15, 16 and 17 to lead the rally for the Tigers. Overall, van Beek moved up 44 spots on the leaderboard and now sits in 72nd at +5 (72-79-71).
Freshman Ebba Liljeberg continued her strong rookie campaign and leads Mizzou overall after three rounds. Liljeberg posted a one-under 71 on Sunday as she now sits in 28th place at even par (72-73-71).
Seniors Melanie Walker and Addie Dobson round out the team's top four with Walker in 60th place at +4 (73-73-74) and Dobson in 72nd at +5 (72-75-74).
Mizzou tees off in the fourth and final round of stroke play on Monday morning. The field is set to be trimmed further to eight teams after the round with the remaining schools competing in match play, starting with the quarterfinals on Tuesday. The Tigers enter the fourth round just six strokes back of the top eight.
