McMillan joins Mizzou after helping lead the Beavers to a pair of NCAA Regional Final appearances.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou gymnastics has signed graduate transfer Jennifer McMillan from Oregon State, the program announced on Tuesday.
The Charlotte, N.C., native was a consistent contributor for the Beavers on their uneven bars and balance beam lineups.
"We are thrilled to add such a talented and experienced gymnast to our program," head coach Shannon Welker said. "Jennifer has proven herself at the highest level of collegiate competition over four seasons. Her consistency on bars and beam is exceptional, and she brings a championship mindset that will elevate our entire squad. We cannot wait to get to work with her here in Columbia."
McMillan missed the 2026 season due to injury but put together a strong 2025 campaign, competing on bars and beam in all 14 of Oregon State's meets. She opened the season with a 9.925 on bars at the American Gold Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Classic on Jan. 4 and earned a career-high 9.925 on beam against Fisk on March 21, her second score of 9.900 or above on the event during the year. In the final regular season meet against Fisk, McMillan posted a 9.875 on bars and a 9.875 on beam.
She was also a key contributor in the postseason, earning a 9.850 on beam in the NCAA Regional Semifinal and a 9.850 on bars in the Regional Final. McMillan was named to the 2025 Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.
McMillan appeared in every meet of the 2024 season, competing on both bars and beam. She opened with a career-high 9.950 on bars at the Mean Girls Super 16 Championship on Jan. 6 and set a career-high 9.900 on beam at Utah on Feb. 2. McMillan closed the year among the nation's best on bars, posting a 9.925 or higher in five of the final seven meets, including a 9.925 at the Pac-12 Championships and a 9.925 against Boise State. Her 9.915 NQS ranked tied for 28th nationally to close the year.
As a freshman, McMillan made 13 appearances in the bars lineup, scoring 9.800 or better in 10 routines. She earned her first event title with a career-high 9.950 on bars in a win over No. 4 Utah on March 11, 2023.
Before college, McMillan competed for Southeastern Gymnastics in Weddington, N.C., and was coached by Ludmilla Shobe. She won the all-around and bars at the Level 10 Region 8 Championships in 2021 and finished tenth in the all-around at the Level 10 National Championships. Daughter of Carol McMillan, Jennifer was born in the Dominican Republic and attended Covenant Day School in Charlotte, N.C.
