Larkin joins the Tigers after helping lead Utah State to a NCAA Tournament second round appearance.
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou volleyball adds Utah State redshirt sophomore transfer Lauren Larkin (St. George, Utah) to its 2026 roster, head coach Dawn Sullivan announced on Friday, May 8.
Larkin, a 6-2 middle blocker, signed with the Tigers after being part of the Aggies roster for the last two years. During the 2025 season, she led the squad with 100 blocks, and ranked tenth in the conference with 76 blocks during Mountain West competitions, while averaging 1.27 kills per set and hitting .408 for the season.
"Lauren is a high-flying middle with a competitive edge that jumped out at me immediately. What excites us most is not only the athleticism and energy she brings on the court, but also how deeply she cares about the people around her," Sullivan said. "We are fired up to welcome her into our Mizzou family and can't wait to see the impact she will have on our program."
The St. George, Utah native, was an instrumental part of the Aggies' run in the NCAA Tournament, as they bested Tennessee in a five-set first round matchup. In that victory, Larkin recorded eight kills, two blocks and three digs to help best the Lady Vols.
Larkin earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors three times (Sept. 29, Nov. 10 and Nov. 24) and one Defensive Player of the Week nod (Nov. 10). The then-redshirt freshman earned defensive player of the week honors after tallying 13 blocks (1.86 blocks per set) and adding five kills in Utah State's wins over Colorado State and Wyoming.
The middle blocker joins libero Ainoah Cruz (Arecibo, Puerto Rico/Evansville) as the second transfer added to the Tigers' 2026 roster.
Larkin graduated from Desert Hills High School, where she was named to the 2023 AVCA Girls High School All-Region team. During her time with the Thunder, she recorded a .484 hitting clip, logged 2.1 blocks per match, earned 1st-team All-State honors and was the Region 9 MVP.
