COLUMBIA, Mo- The Iowa Hawkeyes handed the Missouri women's swimming and diving team their second straight defeat on Saturday by a score of 175-121 in Iowa City, Iowa. The Tigers dropped to 6-2 in the season.
The Tigers got off to a quick start by taking first and second place in the 200 medley-relay. Missouri would claim only one first place finish the rest of the meet, that 11th event of the day where Tawney Larm won the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2 minutes, 23.27 seconds. Katie Mae Fields finished second in two different events, including the 1000 freestyle where she swam a season-best 10 minutes, 14.96 seconds. Freshman Krista Davis finished in second place in both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Larm also claimed a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke.
Missouri will not compete again until Jan. 16 when they host Southwest Missouri State.
