No. 16 @MizzouGym Notches Highest Road Score Since 2007 at Auburn

Tigers notch their third score of 196.625 or higher on the season
AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 16 Mizzou gymnastics team tallied its highest road score since 2007 in a 197.200-196.625 loss to No. 8 Auburn on Friday night at Auburn Arena in Auburn, Ala. The Tigers' score of 196.625 is the team's highest road total since they posted a 196.675 at Michigan on March 16, 2007 and the fourth-best away score in program history.
Additionally, Missouri tied the fifth-highest vault (49.300) and beam (49.250) event scores in program history en route to its score.
Sophomore Kennedi Harris (Atlanta, Ga.) and freshman Morgan Porter (Overland, Mo.) and Britney Ward (Ozark, Mo.) all claimed event titles in the meet. Harris and Porter tied for the vault crown with career-best tallies of 9.900 each, while Ward also went a career-high 9.925 on beam to earn her team-leading ninth win of the season.
A week after going 49.425 in the all-around, Porter upped her career-best with a 49.450 on Friday. She now owns the second and third-highest freshman all-around scores in Mizzou history.
The Tigers opened the meet on bars, where the squad tallied a 49.150. Sophomore Becca Schugel (Eagan, Minn.) led the way with a 9.875, barely off her career-high of 9.900 on the event. Porter earned a 9.850, while freshman Brooke Kelly (Birmingham, Ala. and sophomore Shauna Miller (Knoxville, Tenn.) each notched 9.825s.
In the second rotation, Mizzou erupted for a season-best 49.300 on vault to tie the fifth-highest score on the event in program history. The Tigers had five scores of 9.825 or higher on the apparatus, paced by the 9.900s from Harris and Porter, personal bests. Ward went 9.850 and Miller and freshman Madeleine Huber (St. Louis, Mo.) earned 9.825s, a new career-high for the freshman.
Harris earned a team-best 9.875 on floor as the Tigers went 48.925 on the event. Porter went 9.850 for her eighth straight meet with a score of 9.825 or higher. Freshman Allison Bower (Mesa, Ariz.) notched a 9.825 and Huber earned a 9.775 in her first career floor routine.
Missouri closed the night with the 49.250 on beam to tie the fifth-best score ever on the event for the Tigers. Ward's career-best 9.925 led all competitors, while Porter and Schugel each had personal-highs as well with tallies of 9.850. Additionally, Miller posted a season-best 9.825 and Bower added a 9.800.
Mizzou closes its regular season schedule on Friday, March 5 as the team hosts No. 9 Arkansas at 7 p.m. CT on Senior Night.
