
Mizzou Tennis Hosts Omaha for Sunday Doubleheader

Mizzou will play at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis will continue its spring season on Sunday as the Tigers host Nebraska-Omaha for a doubleheader on Sunday, Jan. 31. The matches are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. CT and 1 p.m. CT on both days.
Mizzou swept a pair of doubleheaders last weekend to improve to 6-2 on the season, defeating Murray State 4-1 and 4-1 on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Southeast Missouri State 4-3 and 4-0 on Sunday, Jan. 24. Bronte Murgett (Holmfirth, Great Britain), Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) and Serena Nash (Bradford, England) have led the way for Mizzou in singles play this season, as the enter the weekend with records of 10-2, 9-3 and 2-7, respectively. Murgett and Nash have the best marks in duals play for doubles action, checking in with 4-2 marks so far this season.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Mizzou will not be able to accommodate fans at home indoor matches for the 2021 season. This decision was based off the SEC's COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC's Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force guidelines, which are available on SECsports.com.
