
Mizzou Women’s Golf Launches Spring Campaign in Florida

The lineup highlights veteran and fresh talent
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Mizzou Women's Golf launches its spring campaign this weekend at the Florida State hosted event, The Match-Up. The event will feature a 54-hole stroke play tournament encompassing three rounds of 18 holes over the course of three consecutive days.
Mizzou will compete against 13 other teams: Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Florida State, Jacksonville, Kansas State, Kent State, Michigan, Minnesota, Memphis, Mercer, Notre Dame, Ohio State and USF.
WHERE: The event will take place at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course (Par-72, 6,255 yards) in Tallahassee, Fla.
WHEN: The first round will begin on Friday, Feb. 26 and conclude on Sunday, Feb. 28. The tee times begin Friday morning at 9:20 a.m. and continue in 10-minute increments with the last one at 10:00 a.m.

Headlining Mizzou's lineup is veteran Jess Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) who returns after closing her fall season by claiming her best finish, T-11, since the fall of 2018 at the Battle on the Beach.
Senior Noelle Beijer (Assendelft, The Netherlands) secured the second spot this week for the Tigers. Her consistent performance in the fall led her to tally her 10th career round-under par, shooting a 2-under 70 at The Ally.
Following in the third slot is freshman Emily Staples (Orlando, Fla.) who capitalized on her Mizzou debut in the fall at The Ally by sinking her first eagle and five birdies.
Making her Mizzou and U.S. debut is freshman Martina Munoz (Valencia, Spain) in the fourth spot. Munoz is a six-time Spanish junior age group national champion and posted seven top-10 finishes in World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) 2019 events.
Columbia native, redshirt junior Julia Bower rounds out the Black and Gold lineup this week, looking to build off of her two-event fall campaign.
