
Mizzou Women’s Golf Heads Down to Georgia-Hosted Tournament

The Tigers are set to compete in spring version of their best fall event
ATHENS, Ga. – Mizzou Women's Golf travels to Georgia to take part in the Liz Murphey Spring Collegiate Classic. The 3-day, Georgia-hosted event will again feature a 54-hole stroke play tournament with 18 holes played each day.
The competition field features 17 other teams: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Charleston, Florida, Georgia, Georgia 2, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern Cal, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt.
WHERE: The event will take place at the University of Georgia Golf Course (Par-72, 6,302 yards) in Athens, GA.
WHEN: The first round starts on Friday, March 19 and runs through Sunday, March 21. Mizzou is set to tee off at 11:50 a.m. paired with Georgia and Kentucky.

Leading the Tiger lineup for the second event in a row is graduate student Jess Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.). She jump-started her spring season at the Match Up by firing her second-lowest score of the year, a 1-over 73 to place T-18. She looks to claim her third consecutive Top-20 finish of the year.
Freshman Emily Staples (Orlando, Fla.) is in the second spot this week after claiming her career-best finish of T-30 at the Match Up. Her performance was highlighted by tying her season and career-low round score of 3-over 75.
Back in action to make her spring debut is sophomore Sophia Yoemans (Redwing, Minn.) in the third spot this weekend after leading the lineup in all three fall events.
Following behind in the fourth slot is sophomore Brianne Bolden. She fired her fifth career round under-par during the Liz Murphey Fall Collegiate Classic with a 1-under 71.
Senior Noelle Beijer (Assendelft, The Netherlands) caps off the Mizzou lineup after also posting her season-best finish, T-30, at the Match Up which showcased her consistency as she sunk 10 consecutive pars in the third round.
