
Mizzou Set to Compete in SEC Championship

The Tigers’ Top 5 will face off against the strong 13-team conference field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mizzou Women's Golf returns down south after a two-week hiatus to kick-off their post season competition at the SEC Championship in Birmingham, Ala. The event includes three rounds of stroke play taking place from Wednesday to Friday, with the top eight teams advancing to match play on Saturday and Sunday. The slated field features all 14 Southeastern Conference programs, nine of which are ranked in the Top-30 of GolfStat's weekly.
WHERE: The event will take place at the Greystone Golf and Country Club (Par-72, 6,253 yards) in Birmingham, Ala.
WHEN: Three rounds of stroke play will occur the opening three days of the championship, Wednesday, April 14 - Friday, April 16 with the first round starting at 8:20 a.m. CT. The final round on Sunday was televised live on SEC Network.

Senior Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) will once again headline Mizzou's lineup in her fourth SEC Championship appearance. She heads into the post-season on a hot streak after placing in the Top-20 in the last four consecutive regular season tournaments. Most recently, Yuen secured her second Top-5 finish of the season at the Bruzzy, shooting her season-low 54-hole event score of 214.
Securing the second spot after a strong performance at the Bruzzy is sophomore Brianne Bolden (Mokena, Ill.). Carding a season-best 2-under 70 in the final round, Bolden claimed her season-best finish at T-29.
Senior Noelle Beijer (Assendelft, The Netherlands) will represent the Black and Gold in the third slot this week. The veteran threw down an eagle and six birdies at the Bruzzy to match her season-best event score, a 6-over 222.
Sophomore Sophia Yoemans (Redwing, Minn.) claimed the Tigers' fourth spot as she looks to break into the Top-30 for what would be her best-place this season.
Freshman Emily Staples (Orlando, Fla.) will be making her SEC Championship debut in the final spot for Mizzou this week.
