COLUMBIA, Mo. – After a show-stopping second place finish last week at the renowned Hootie at Bulls Bay tournament, the Tigers return to their own stomping grounds to host their fourth annual Tiger Invitational. The two day-event features a jam-packed first day consisting of 36 holes, continuous play, followed by the final round on day two.
There are 13 other teams traveling to Columbia to compile the competition slate: Bowling Green, Drake, Illinois State, Kansas State, UMKC, Missouri State, Morehead State, North Alabama, SIUE, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Southern Mississippi and Wichita State.
The Columbia-based event was last played in 2019 when the Tigers claimed third place. It was canceled last year due to the shortened COVID-19 spring season.

WHEN: The fourth annual Tiger Invitational launches on Monday, April 5 and finishes up on Tuesday, April 6.

TEAM LINEUP: All the Tigers will compete this coming week either as part of the team score or as individuals.
1. Ross Steelman, 2. Rory Franssen, 3. Yu-Ta Tsai, 4. Tommy Boone, 5. Walker Kesterson
INDIVIDUAL: Viktor Einarsson, Jack Parker, Michael Terblanche
Ross Steelman, the Columbia-native standout, will highlight the lineup as he continues to deliver this season after claiming T-4 finish last week, his third Top-5 career finish. His performance was anchored by shooting all three rounds under-par, a career-first.
Senior Rory Franssen is in the second slot this week. His 23rd place finish at the South Carolina-hosted event showcased his consistency as he fired all three rounds even-par.
Claiming the third team spot is sophomore Yu-Ta Tsai who threw down his career-best finish of T-18 last week. The Hootie also marked Tsai's first career event with multiple rounds under-par after he carded a 2-under 70 and 4-under 68 in the last two rounds.
Senior Tommy Boone secures the fourth spot after launching into The Hootie last week to lead it at the end of the first day after firing a season-best 4-under 68, followed by two even-par rounds. Walker Kesterson rounds out the Tigers lineup in the last slot.
