
Soccer Renews Rivalry With Oklahoma

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri soccer hosts Oklahoma at 7 p.m. on Friday. The game will be available to be streamed live on SECN+.
Missouri (4-8-2, 2-4-1 SEC) enters the contest following a road loss to No. 4 Mississippi State on Sunday.
Senior midfielder Milena Fischer leads Missouri with six goals this season.
Fischer scored three goals to lead the Mizzou past Ole Miss on Oct. 10. The hat trick was the second in program history and the first by a Tiger since Grace Blum on Oct. 19, 1996, against Nebraska.
Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Phillips is poised to start her 10th consecutive match.
Phillips made nine saves in the shutout victory over Florida on Sept. 29, marking the most by a Tigers' keeper in a win since Oct. 26, 2017.
Friday marks the first meeting between the teams since Oct. 16, 2011, when both programs were members of the Big 12 conference.
Oklahoma (8-6-1, 1-5-1 SEC) is coming off three straight losses, after dropping a match to No. 6 Arkansas on Sunday.
Senior forward Ella Pappas headlines the Oklahoma roster with six goals this season while two other Sooner forwards, Leonie Weber and Sophia Green, trail with five goals apiece.
The Sooners are coached by Matt Mott who is in his second season at the helm with a 16-16-3 record. The Sooners have appeared in one conference tournament under his tenure.
The contest will mark the 16th meeting between the programs with Missouri leading the all-time series 10-4-1.
Missouri currently ranks 12th in the Southeastern Conference standings while Oklahoma ranks 15th. The top 12 programs make the league tournament at the end of the month.
Admission is free to all Missouri home games this season.
