
Griffin Scores 10, No. 9 Tigers Gymnastics Win Zou to the Lou Quad with Program-Best Floor Score

Mizzou’s floor squad, led by sophomore Kennedy Griffin’s 10, sets second-best score nationally.
SAINT CHARLES, Mo. – University of Missouri gymnastics posted its highest floor score in program history, 49.725, winning the Zou to the Lou Quad on Friday at Family Arena and earning its fourth-straight team score of 197.000.
The Tigers defeated No. 14 Alabama (197.150-196.675), No. 26 Illinois (197.150-196.200) and No. 28 Iowa (197.150-195.000). to post its fourth-straight team score of at least 197.000 in the 2025 season.
Mizzou (10-3, 2-2 SEC) had six routines score at least a 9.900, five of which came from floor routines, highlighted by sophomore Kennedy Griffin's (Strongsville, Ohio) first-career 10.000. This was Mizzou's second win against the Fighting Illini this season, winning just six days before in Champaign on Feb. 8.

Griffin's perfect score on her floor routine made her the second-youngest Mizzou gymnast to receive a perfect score in any event. This also marks the seventh perfect score an NCAA gymnast has scored this season and the fourth on floor. Mizzou joins UCLA as the only two schools with 10s in multiple events this year.
Senior Amari Celestine (Wildomar, Calif.) matched the seventh-best overall score in program history with a 39.625 en route to claiming the all-around title. Celestine competed in all four events and scored at least a 9.900 in three, setting a career-best on bars.

Vault
-Celestine earned the top score for the Tigers on vault with a 9.850.
-Freshman Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) made her collegiate debut on vault, scoring 9.750.
Uneven Bars
-Celestine led the Tigers on bars with a career-high score of 9.950, the highest score for Missouri on bars this season. She claimed a share of the event title.
-Graduate Mara Titarsolej (Zutphen, Netherlands) notched a 9.875. She has reached or exceeded the score in five of the team's seven meets this season.
-Titarsolej entered the meet ranked 14th nationally in scoring average in the event.
-Kelly tied her season and career-best on bars, scoring 9.825 for the Black & Gold.
Beam
-Celestine, redshirt junior Amy Wier (St. Louis) and redshirt senior Helen Hu (Chicago) all tied for the top score of 9.875 in the event.
-Celestine set a season-high with a 9.875. Her previous season high was 9.850, which she set at LSU and tied at Illinois.
-This marks Wier's second-highest score in the event, being topped by only the 9.900 she scored in the team's most recent meet.
Floor
-Missouri notched its best score on floor ever with 49.725, beating its previous best of 49.700 at the Illinois Quad last season.
-Griffin scores a perfect 10.000 in her floor routine, topping her season and career high. She is the second Mizzou gymnast to score 10.000 on floor.
-Senior Jocelyn Moore (Hillsborough, N.J.) anchored the rotation and tied her season-best score of 9.950, marking the fifth time this season scoring at least a 9.900.
-Celestine notched a season-high of 9.950 in the event, making it the third time she has scored at least 9.900 this season.
-Freshman Railey Jackson (Park Forest, Ill.) scored a career-high of 9.925.
-From the leadoff spot, redshirt junior Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.) opened the event for the Tigers with a season-high score of 9.900. This marked her fifth time on floor reaching or exceeding 9.900 in her career.
-Sophomore Rayna Light (Brandon, Fla.) tied her season-high of 9.850, making it her fourth consecutive meet posting the result.
UP NEXT
Missouri gymnastics heads back home to Columbia to face No. 11 Georgia on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Hearnes Center.
Earlier this season, the Tigers faced the Bulldogs at the Denver quad on Jan. 12. Missouri defeated Georgia and LIU but fell to Denver. The Tigers are currently on a nine-meet win streak against the Bulldogs dating back to 2021.
