Gymnastics Posts Second-Best Score in Program History at Florida

Tigers notch sixth-straight team score of at least 197.000, four of which have come outside of Columbia.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Missouri gymnastics earned its second-best team score in program history in its loss to Florida, 198.125-197.725, before a sold-out crowd on Friday at Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Eighth-ranked Mizzou (11-4, 3-3 SEC) earned at least 49.375 in all four events with 11 individual scores of at least 9.900, its most this season. No. 6 Florida (8-3, 3-3 SEC) tied its nation-leading team score in the meet.
SHOW STOPPERS
The Tigers' top mark of the day came from Mara Titarsolej (Zutphen, Netherlands), who set a new season high of 9.950 on bars. On floor, sophomores Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Kennedy Griffin (Strongsville, Ohio) each earned 9.925 for their routines, pushing Mizzou to its second-best result on the apparatus this season.

Uneven Bars
-The Tigers' score of 49.400 tied the 10th-best score in Mizzou history on bars.
-Titarsolej's 9.950 ties the best individual result on the apparatus for the team this season.
-Celestine earned 9.900, marking the seventh time in nine meets this season she's reached or exceeded the score after doing so just twice heading into 2025.
-Kyra Burns (Blue Springs, Mo.), Rayna Light (Brandon, Fla.) and Horton recorded 9.850 on their routines.
-Mizzou has surpassed 49.100 on bars in every meet this season.
Vault
-MU's 49.375 on vault marked its best score on the event this season and tied for the 10th highest in program history.
-Horton, Jocelyn Moore (Hillsborough, N.J.) and Amari Celestine (Wildomar, Calif.) closed out the second rotation for the Tigers with three-straight scores of 9.900.
-All six of Mizzou's routines scored at least 9.800.
-Freshman Kaia Tanskanen (Howell, Mich.) returned to the vault lineup for the first time since the team's meet at LSU on Jan. 31 and tied her career-best result of 9.825.
Floor
-The team scored 49.400 on the apparatus, its second-best mark of the year.
-With Griffin and Horton's score, a Missouri gymnast has scored 9.925 on floor eight times this season.
-Light scored a season-best 9.900 in her first collegiate dual meet in her home state of Florida.
-Moore also contributed 9.900 to the team total, the 34th time she's tied or surpassed the mark on the floor exercise.
-Mizzou has scored topped 49.100 on floor in every meet this season.
Beam
-In its final rotation on balance beam, MU recorded its season-best result of 49.400.
-Kelly and Celestine notched 9.875 for their routines from the third and fourth spot in the lineup, respectively.
-Addison Lawrence (Olathe, Kan.) tied her top mark of the year of 9.900.
-Helen Hu (Chicago) anchored the rotation and recorded 9.900, the 30th time in her career to reach or exceed the score.
