The Mizzou men's basketball team hosts nationally-ranked Vanderbilt in a key late-season matchup on Wednesday. Tipoff between the Tigers and No. 19 Commodores is set for 8 p.m. on SEC Network.

SERIES HISTORY
• In a series that dates back to 1958, Mizzou owns a 10-9 advantage against the Commodores.
• The home school owns a 16-2 record in on-campus meetings between the teams with Mizzou a perfect 8-0 in Columbia.
• Last year, the schools split a pair of games with the Tigers winning, 75-66, in Mizzou Arena before Vanderbilt rallied for a 97-93 overtime win in Nashville.

ALL-AROUND LEADER IN MITCHELL
• The team's top threat remains Mark Mitchell as he's the team's all-around leader in 2025-26.
• Mitchell leads Mizzou in points (17.2), rebounds (5.6) and assists (3.4) this season.
• He is aiming to become just the second player in school history to lead the Tigers in all three categories, joining Albert White in 1998-99.
MR. VERSATILE, MARK MITCHELL
• Mark Mitchell and his all-around game has been on display throughout the season.
• Mitchell is just one of eight players in the nation to have totaled 425 points, 140 rebounds and 85 assists during the 2025-26 campaign.
• The senior is attempting to be the first Tiger to tally 17 points, five rebounds and three assists since Big Eight Player of the Year Anthony Peeler in 1991-92.
THREE-POINT THREATS
• Following Mark Mitchell's lead for MU is a trio of dangerous shooters.
• Jayden Stone (14.9), Jacob Crews (10.2) and Trent Pierce (9.7) rank second, third and fourth on the team in scoring this season.
• All are 3-point threats as Crews leads the way at 46.8 percent, Stone is second at 39.6 percent and Pierce is third at 38.9 percent.
• It marks the first time in school history that the Tigers feature three players making at least 1.75 triples per game and shooting higher than 37.5 percent from beyond the arc.
DEFENSIVE STRENGTH IN SEC PLAY
• The Tigers have quietly put together a strong defensive effort in conference play.
• In SEC games only, Mizzou ranks fifth with a scoring defense of 77.4 points and second with a field goal percentage defense of 42.4.
CLEANING THE GLASS
• The Tigers are enjoying an edge in rebounding this season.
• Mizzou has outrebounded teams by an average of 4.8 boards per game – ranking fourth in the SEC – and by 1.8 in SEC games.
• MU's +4.8 margin it its largest since 2013-14.
IMPORTANCE OF THE BOARDS
• While the Tigers are enjoying more success on the glass, it has also been a large factor in its results this season.
• When Mizzou is just within four boards of its opponent during SEC play, it is 7-1 this season.
