
No. 8 Gymnastics Posts Season-High 197.550, Wins Mizzou Quad

The Tigers claimed all four individual event titles.
No. 8 Mizzou gymnastics used a season-best score of 197.550 to beat out Air Force (195.675), Illinois (195.450) and Ball State (195.275) and win the Mizzou Quad on Friday evening at Mizzou Arena.
The Tigers (9-3, 2-3 SEC) posted the meet's top score on all four events and closed the night with a season-best 49.575 on floor exercise, finishing ahead of the Falcons (11-7, 2-2 MW), Fighting Illini (4-7, 1-4 Big Ten) and Cardinals (9-4, 4-0 MAC).

Mizzou captured all four individual event titles for the second time this season, highlighted by sophomore Railey Jackson (Park Forest, Ill.), who claimed at least a share on vault (9.925), beam (9.900) and floor (9.925).
Amy Wier (St. Louis, Mo.) joined Jackson and earned a share of the beam title, posting her career-best score of 9.900 for the fourth time in her career.
Elise Tisler (Fairfax Station, Va.), Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Jackson all shared the floor exercise titles as well, earning marks of 9.925. Horton also captured the uneven bars title with a mark of 9.925.
"I thought we were really steady across the first three events, and then we really picked it up there at the end and took advantage of a great ending rotation on floor," said head coach Shannon Welker.

-Makayla Green (Mays Landing, N.J.) opened the rotation with a 9.875, posting her Mizzou-high.
-Olivia Kelly (Bronx, N.Y.) matched Green and delivered a 9.875, tying her season-best.
-Horton earned a 9.925 in the fifth spot to claim the event title.
-Missouri totaled 49.350 in the second rotation.
BEAM
-Wier led off with a 9.900 to tie her career high and share the event title.
-Lauren Macpherson (Gilbert, Ariz.) scored a 9.875 in the third position.
-Jackson notched a 9.900, the second time this season reaching the threshold, good for the meet's beam title.
-Missouri totaled 49.300 in the third rotation.
FLOOR
-From the leadoff position, Jackson tied her career-high mark of 9.925.
-Tisler earned a 9.925, her highest floor score as a Tiger.
-Tanskanen posted a 9.900, her fourth score of 9.900 or higher in the last five meets.
-Horton scored a 9.925, her sixth 9.900-plus performance of the season.
-Kennedy Griffin (Strongsville, Ohio) added a 9.900, extending her streak of 9.900-plus scores on floor to six meets.
-Missouri finished with a season-best 49.575 on floor.
