
Women's Basketball Seeks Fourth Straight Win Against Georgia Sunday

Mizzou women's basketball returns home to host Georgia at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Mizzou Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.
Mizzou (16-9, 4-6 SEC) enters the contest on a three-game win streak following a victory over Arkansas on Thursday. The Tigers last won three consecutive league games in 2022-23.
A win over the Bulldogs would mark the program's first four-game regular-season conference win streak since the 2017-18 season.
The victory was the second over the Razorbacks this season which marked the Tigers' first season sweep of an opponent since the 2020-21 season, where they notched a pair of wins over Florida.
Junior guard Shannon Dowell recorded 25 points, five rebounds and three assists, while junior guard Grace Slaughter contributed 24 points, five rebounds and two assists.
The duo have scored 20 or more points in four contests this season.
Junior guard Abbey Schreacke tallied 17 points, her second-highest total this season. Schreacke is averaging 13.3 points in the last three games.
Slaughter is 21st in the country and fifth in the SEC with 19.4 points this season. The junior played all 40 minutes on Thursday and is eighth in the country and second in the SEC with 36.16 minutes per game this year.
Slaughter is seventh in the SEC in total rebounds at 178. The junior has nearly doubled her rebounding average from 3.6 to 7.1 per game this season.
On the season, Mizzou is ranked 10th in the country and second in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 37.8%.
The Tigers are 20th nationally and third in the SEC with 8.9 makes from beyond the arc per game.
Individually, Schreacke (40.0%) and sophomore guard Chloe Sotell (38.2%) are fourth and ninth, respectively, in the conference in 3-point percentage.
Mizzou ranks seventh in the country and first in the SEC in free-throw percentage at 79.3%. Dowell (108) and Slaughter (96) are second and fifth, respectively, in the conference in free throws made.
Opposite the scoring end, the Tigers are 20th in the country and fourth in the league in defensive rebounding with 29.2 per game.
Georgia enters Sunday at 18-5, including a 4-5 mark in SEC play, following a loss to No. 19 Tennessee on Thursday.
Head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson is in her fourth season on the sidelines in Athens. In her 21-year collegiate career, Abrahamson-Henderson is 437-211 all-time.
Georgia's roster is headlined by sophomore guard Dani Carnegie, who averages 18.6 points per game.
Mizzou is 6-15 all-time in games played on Super Bowl Sunday.
