
Women's Basketball Signs Transfer Addition McKenzie Mathurin

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou women's basketball has signed transfer guard McKenzie Mathurin from Michigan, head coach Kellie Harper announced on Monday.
Mathurin, a native of Broken Arrow, Okla., helped guide the Wolverines to their second-ever Elite Eight appearance this season.
"Kenzie has been special from an early age, and her steady development over the years has shaped her into the player she is today," Harper said. "McKenzie is prepared and poised to thrive in our system and in the SEC. We're excited to get to work!"
She appeared in 25 games off the bench, recorded double-figures in three contests, while averaging 3.5 points and 0.7 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.
In a win over Penn State on Jan. 8, Mathurin scored a career-high 15 points on 5-for-8 shooting to go with an assist and a steal.
A four-star prospect and the No. 39 overall recruit in the 2025 class, she averaged 22.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game as a senior at Broken Arrow High School.
The No. 8 shooting guard in the class, her statistical accolades earned her a McDonald's All-American nomination, Naismith Watch List recognition and was named VYPE Magazine Miss Oklahoma Basketball.
In addition, she was named to The Oklahoman's Super 5, a 2025 Ballislife All-American and Tulsa World All-State team.
Mathurin is the first portal addition of the 2026 offseason for the Tigers.
