BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Mizzou softball's junior first baseman Abby Hay (Columbia, Mo./Rock Bridge) was selected to the SEC All-Defensive Team at first base, the Southeastern Conference announced on Friday, May 8.

The junior first baseman posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage for the season, committing zero errors and starting all 57 games for the Tigers. Hay also ranked third in the SEC for putouts with 349 and was first amongst all SEC first basemen with zero errors. She was also a part of four double plays and recorded three assists during her time on the bag.
On the offensive side, Hay collected a team-high in batting average with a .333 clip. She also ended her junior season with nine home runs – tied for third on the team – 33 RBIs – third – and nine doubles – tied for second.
