Toby Lowe is in his third year with Mizzou Athletics since returning to the department in July 2022. He serves as the primary contact for the Women’s Basketball and Soccer programs in addition to overseeing the department’s intern staff.
Before his current stint at Mizzou, Lowe spent a year as an athletic communications assistant at Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun Athletics, where he worked as the primary contact of the Men’s Basketball, Track and Field and Cross Country programs along with a secondary role with the nationally-ranked Football program.
Prior to Louisiana, Lowe was as a graduate assistant at Virginia Commonwealth (VCU), where he worked as the primary contact for the Women’s Soccer program along with the nationally-ranked Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs.
Lowe got his start as an undergraduate intern at Mizzou, handling a wide variety of tasks for the university’s 20 athletic programs. In the role, he served as a communications assistant for the Southeastern Conference at the 2020 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament in Greenville, South Carolina.
A native of Rochester, Minnesota, Lowe is a 2020 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and earned a master’s degree in sport leadership from VCU in 2021.
