
Tigers Round Out 2005 Regular Season on Top

Columbia, Mo. -- Rounding out the 2005 regular season scoring a 195.750, the #21 Mizzou Tigers added two victories to their record topping Southeast Missouri State (192.325) and Air Force (188.775).
Competing in the Hearnes Center for the final time, seniors Rachael Dombart and Alisha Robinson highlighted the event. Rising to the occasion, Dombart scored a season high 9.825 on beam while Robinson picked up three event titles winning the vault (9.875), floor (9.900) and all-around (39.350).
Coming together in their final home meet, the Tigers topped the field on each apparatus. Mizzou opened the event scoring a 48.975 on vault including a 9.800 second-place performance by sophomore Whitney Crater. Moving onto bars, Mizzou scored a 48.450 led by junior Sarah Zigler's 9.825 performance.
Scoring a 49.175 on beam, the Tigers saw four consecutive routines receive scores of 9.825 or above. Beam specialist Lauren Schwartzman picked up her 10th title of the season leading the Tigers with a 9.925. Also bolstering the Mizzou effort, Dombart and Kelley Andersen scored 9.825s while Robinson delivered a 9.850.
Finishing up on floor, Mizzou scored a 49.150 including Robinson's 9.900, a 9.875 season high by Andersen and a 9.850 showing by Crater.
Heading into postseason competition, the Tigers travel to the 2005 Big 12 Championship, hosted by the University of Oklahoma, on Sat., March 26 at 7:00 p.m.
