- Mizzou improved to 5-0 at home this season with its 85-78 win over Omaha. The 85 points are the second-highest single-game total this season and the third 80-plus point game this season
- The Tigers improved its all-time record against Omaha to 2-0
- Mizzou's strong defense led to a season-high nine steals. The team's last nine-plus steal game was on Jan. 29, 2015, against Kentucky.

- Sophomore forward Jakeenan Gant swatted away a first half shot by Omaha, giving him at least one block in 7-of-8 games so far this season.

- Freshman guard Cullen VanLeer knocked down a three early in the second half, pushing his streak of at least one three-pointer in a game to eight consecutive contests.
- Freshman guard K.J. Walton posted his third double-digit scoring game of the season after recording 10 against the Mavericks.
- Seven Tigers reached the scoreboard in the first half as the team shot 50-percent (14-for-28) from the field.
- Mizzou outscored the Mavericks 14-6 to begin the second half, leading to its largest lead of the game (15).
