Diving Opens New Year at Tennessee Diving Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's diving teams open the new year at the three-day Tennessee Diving Invitational, Jan. 3-5, at the Allan Jones Aquatic Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. More than 80 divers are slated to compete at the Invitational, including competitors from eight Southeastern Conference programs.
The invitational starts Wednesday with men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter competitions. Men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter take place on Thursday, followed by platform on Friday. Wednesday and Thursday preliminaries start at 10:30 a.m CT., with the top 12 competitors to square off immediately in the finals. Friday's single-round platform competition will start at 10 a.m. CT Live results can be found at DiveMeets.com.
Eight Tigers, Alexa Beckwith, Amber Brickey, Payton Conrad, Hunter Fritter, Will Gottsch, Kendra Keiser, Andy Kreiter and Madeline McKernan will dive all three events during the meet. Two Tigers, Kyle Goodwin and Peter Lucido, will only compete on the springboards.
