
No. 23 @MizzouGym Suffers 197.000-195.850 Loss to No. 14 Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. 23 Mizzou gymnastics team posted its highest road score of the season in a 197.000-195.850 loss to No. 14 Georgia on Saturday afternoon in Athens, Georgia.
KEY TIGERS
Missouri opened the meet with a 49.000 on bars in the first rotation. Sophomore Aspen Tucker (Lehigh Acres, Fla.) tallied a team-best 9.825 in the leadoff spot. Juniors Madeleine Huber (St. Louis, Mo.) and Brooke Kelly (Birmingham, Ala.) and redshirt sophomore Morgan Porter (Overland, Mo.) all scored 9.800s, while senior Tia Allbritten (Garland, Texas) went 9.775. Tucker, Kelly and Allbritten's scores were all season-highs.
A run of 9.800s gave the squad a 48.950 on vault. Huber, Tucker and seniors Kennedi Harris (Atlanta, Ga.) and Shauna Miller (Knoxville, Tenn.) all went 9.800 in the first four spots in the lineup.
Harris led the way with a team-best 9.825 on floor. Tucker went 9.800 and junior Allison Bower (Mesa, Ariz.) scored a 9.775, as Mizzou totaled a 48.850 on the apparatus.
The Tigers earned a season-high 49.050 on beam to close out the meet. Junior Britney Ward (Ozark, Mo.) concluded the meet with a team-best and season-high 9.900 in the anchor position. Both Porter and Tucker also tallied a season-bests as well, as Porter scored a 9.850 and Tucker went 9.800.
Additionally, Tucker totaled a 39.225 in the all-around, her highest score of the season.

"Today was quite a bit less than we're capable of but in comparison to last weekend it was a nice step. I'm certainly happy with that part. But we have to be better. We have to transfer the quality better from the gym to the competition. We certainly see it on a weekly basis, now we just have to get comfortable doing it in the meet."
