COLUMBIA, Mo. - The No. 24 Missouri gymnastics team returns home to the Hearnes on Friday, Feb. 9 as the team hosts No. 3 LSU at 7:15 p.m. live on SEC Network. The Tigers are teaming up with The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri to "Stick it to Hunger." All fans are encouraged to bring an unopened jar of peanut butter to donate to the Food Bank (and receive $4) admission

TIGER TIDBITS
- Mizzou sits at No. 24 in this week's rankings
- Missouri fell to then-No. 14 Georgia 197.000-195.850 on Feb. 3
- The team score of 195.850 was the team's road high this season
- The Tigers tallied a season-high 49.050 on beam against the Gymdogs, led by season-highs from junior Britney Ward (9.900), redshirt sophomore Morgan Porter (9.850) and sophomore Aspen Tucker (9.800)
- The Tigers posted a 196.325-196.150 win over No. 10 Arkansas in Missouri's home opener on Jan. 19
- The win was Mizzou's first over a top 10 team since a 195.800-195.350 win over No. 9 Georgia on Jan. 22, 2016, and the third-consecutive victory over Arkansas
- Missouri held a slight advantage through the first three rotations but needed a 9.775 or higher from senior Kennedi Harris in the Tigers' final routine of the night to nab the win. Harris responded with a 9.925
- Missouri finished the 2017 season ranked 17th in the final poll, the team's highest final ranking since the squad finished 12th in 2010
- The 2018 Tigers return 94.2 percent of routines from a season ago
- In fact, Mizzou returns 100 percent of all bars and beam routines from a season ago, and 92.3 percent of all floor routines back and 85.7 percent of all vault routines back
- Mizzou's 2018 slate is ranked the fifth-toughest in the country entering the season, behind only SEC foes Georgia, Arkansas and Alabama
- Head Coach Shannon Welker is in his fifth season at the helm of the Tiger program. In his first four years in Columbia, Welker has Mizzou back in the national spotlight. In 2017, the Tigers finished 17th in the national ranking. The 2017 season also saw Mizzou go 3-4 in Southeastern Conference dual meet action, with wins over No. 12 Arkansas, No. 12 Kentucky and No. 18 Auburn. The Tigers entered the season with just one SEC dual win in program history. Additionally, Missouri recorded the third and fourth-highest scores in program history in 2017, with a 197.200 against Auburn and a 197.150 one week later against Kentucky
LAST TIME OUT
- The Mizzou gymnastics team posted its highest road score of the season in a 197.000-195.850 loss to No. 14 Georgia on Feb. 3 in Athens, Georgia
- Missouri opened the meet with a 49.000 on bars in the first rotation. Sophomore Aspen Tucker tallied a team-best 9.825 in the leadoff spot. Juniors Madeleine Huber and Brooke Kelly and redshirt sophomore Morgan Porter all scored 9.800s
- A run of 9.800s gave the squad a 48.950 on vault. Huber, Tucker and seniors Kennedi Harris and Shauna Miller all went 9.800 in the first four spots in the lineup
- Harris led the way with a team-best 9.825 on floor. Tucker went 9.800 and junior Allison Bower scored a 9.775, as Mizzou totaled a 48.850 on the apparatus
- The Tigers earned a season-high 49.050 on beam to close out the meet. Junior Britney Ward concluded the meet with a team-best and season-high 9.900 in the anchor position. Both Porter and
- Tucker also tallied a season-bests as well, as Porter scored a 9.850 and Tucker went 9.800
- Additionally, Tucker totaled a 39.225 in the all-around, her highest score of the season.

- The Tigers compete in the Mardi Gras Invitational on Friday, Feb. 16 at the St. Charles Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. Missouri faces off against No. 3 LSU, No. 10 Arkansas and No. 21 George Washington at 6:30 p.m.
MISSOURI RANKED 24TH IN LATEST NATIONAL POLL
- Mizzou fell to No. 24 in this week's national rankings
- Rankings are determined by average score for the first six weeks of the season (before moving to Regional Qualifying Score in late February)
- Missouri was 17th in the preseason coaches poll, announced on Dec. 11
- That was the highest preseason ranking for the Tigers since prior to the 2011 season, when they were chosen 13th
MIZZOU NOTCHES SEASON-BEST BEAM SCORE AT GEORGIA
- The Tigers scored a season-best 49.050 on beam at Georgia on Feb. 3
- The 49.050 bested the team's previous high of 49.000, recorded against Arkansas on Jan. 19
- Junior Britney Ward led the way with a season-best 9.900 in the anchor position
- Also with season-bests were redshirt sophomore Morgan Porter (9.850) and sophomore Aspen Tucker (9.800)
TIGERS POST TOP 10 WIN
- Mizzou's 196.325-196.150 win over No. 10 Arkansas on Jan. 19 marked the team's first top 10 win since the program knocked off No. 9 Georgia, 195.800-195.350, on Jan. 22, 2016
- Additionally, it was only the Tigers' second top 10 victory since the 2012 season
- In 2012, Mizzou defeated No. 9 Arkansas, 196.100-195.450 in Columbia, on March 16 and No. 4 Nebraska, 195.725-194.550, on Jan. 28 in Lincoln, Neb
