ON TAP THIS WEEK
- Mizzou (6-2-1) will split this week as the team continues SEC play.
- The Tigers will be on the road for the second-straight game, travelling to Florida (Sept. 26), before returning home to play Georgia on Sunday (Sept. 29).
- The Florida match will be streamed on SEC Network+, while Sunday's match will be aired nationally on ESPNU.
LAST TIME OUT
- Mizzou opened SEC play with its first draw of the season, finishing the match with a 1-1 deadlock after two overtime periods.
- Sophomore Blythe Beldner scored the first goal of her career in the 77' to provide the equalizer, while Peyton Bauman combined for three saves in both overtime periods to give the Tigers a point in the conference race.
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT...FLORIDA
- Florida has matched Mizzou's offensive output in 2019, as both programs have tallied 17 goals on the season.
- The Gators have managed to get a higher percentage on goal, with 53 of their 100 shots being on target.
- Vanessa Kara leads the Gators with 10 points on five goals, while Kit Loferski has provided four assists this season.
- Redshirt junior Susi Espinoza has recorded all 815:00 minutes in the goal, registering 30 saves to 11 goals against.
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT...GEORGIA
- Georgia has combined for 14 goals on the season, and has a goal differential of +6 entering the week.
- Chloe Champman leads the team with three goals on the year, leading four Bulldogs who have tallied multiple goals this season.
- In the goal, Georgia has primarily relied on Emory Wegener, who has started 7-of-9 games for the program in 2019.
MAKING A HABIT OUT OF EXTRA TIME
- Nine games into the season, and Mizzou has gone past the 90-minute regulation a third of the time.
- The Tigers have yet to lose a game in extra time this season, being 2-0-1 at the point in the season.
- Mizzou has defeated Xavier (3-2, Sept. 1) and Northern Colorado (2-1, Sept. 15) in overtime this season, and earned the draw against Ole Miss (1-1, Sept. 20).
- With two wins in extra time this season, the Tigers are one win shy of tying the single-season best of three in 2016.
GOALS, GOALS AND MORE GOALS
- En route to one of the worst statistical seasons in program history – Mizzou saw the back of the net only 16 times during the season – the program hoped to put their offensive woes behind them in 2019. Through the first nine game of the season, Mizzou has seen a massive improvement in their offensive productions.
- The Tigers surpassed last season's total with Blythe Beldner's equalizer in the 77' against Ole Miss (Sept. 20).
- Nine Tigers have scored for Mizzou already this season, led by Julissa Cisneros (5) and Sarah Luebbert (4). Sophomore Bella Alessi joins the duo with two goals to her name this year.
- Luebbert has already matched her point total from last season, while Cisneros is one shy of matching her output as a freshman.
- The Tigers already have two games this season where the team recorded at least three goals. The program did not have a single three-goal game in 2018.
SEC LEGENDS FACE OFF
- Thursday's contest against Florida will face a matchup of two-of-the-three longest-tenured head coaches in the SEC.
- Mizzou head coach Bryan Blitz and Florida head coach Becky Burleigh have a combined record of 748-350-80 in their combined 49 seasons at the helm of their respective programs.
- Since the Tigers joined the SEC, Burleigh holds a 6-2 advantage over Blitz.
