
Mizzou Men’s Golf Travels to Tee Off in Baton Rouge

The team returns to play in the LSU Invitational Feb. 26-28
BATON ROUGE, LA. – The Tigers return to action on Friday morning as they tee off in the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge, La. The 54-hole stroke play tournament will consist of 18 holes each of the three days, featuring a competitive slate of 14 other teams: Alabama, Arkansas State, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana Tech, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
WHERE: The 3-day event will take place at the University Club Golf Course (Par-72, 7,227 yards) in Baton Rouge, La.
WHEN: The LSU Invitational kicks-off on Friday, Feb. 26 and concludes on Sunday, Feb. 28. The tee times begin at 9:10 a.m. Friday morning and continue in 10-minute increments with the last one at 10:00 a.m.

INDIVIDUAL: Tommy Boone
Columbia native standout Ross Steelman will lead the squad this week after carding his third consecutive event under-par at last week's event, The Gator, with a 2-under 208. He looks to continue that streak as well as tally his 15th career round under-par.
Claiming the second spot for Mizzou, sophomore Yu-Ta Tsai (Taipei, Taiwan) comes off of a solid showing at The Gator where he set a new career-low 54-hole score (211) after shooting two rounds of even-par.
Following in the third spot is newcomer sophomore Michael Terblanche (Hilton, KawZulu-Natal, South Africa) who shot a 1-under 69 in the second round of The Gator to spark his career debut.
Both graduate students, Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland) and Walker Kesterson (Ashland, Mo.) round out the Tiger lineup in the fourth and fifth spots. Kesterson is back and looking to build off of his Mizzou debut event in the fall.
Returning to compete as an individual again is junior Tommy Boone (Plano, Texas) after he tied his season-low round score of 72.
