OMAHA, Neb. – No. 25 Mizzou Volleyball (15-7, 15-7 SEC) makes its 17th appearance in the NCAA Women's Volleyball Championships when the Tigers face South Dakota (15-6, 12-3 Summit) on Wednesday, April 14, at 11 a.m. in the CHI Health Center.
Each of Mizzou's 17 NCAA appearances have come since 2000 and Wednesday marks the Tigers' sixth-straight bid to the tournament. The first round match will stream on ESPN3.

SERIES SNAPSHOT
- Mizzou and South Dakota are meeting for just the third time on the volleyball court. The Tigers won both previous meetings, 2-0 in 1982 and 3-0 in 2013.
- The Tigers are 52-15-1 all-time against current Summit League members. Only one of those losses has come in the past 25 years.
- Mizzou has never faced a Summit League foe in the NCAA Tournament.
- The most recent meeting against South Dakota kicked-off Mizzou's perfect 34-0 regular season back in 2013. The Tigers won 25-21, 25-17, 25-16 in that meeting.
MIZZOU NOTABLES
- Mizzou has advanced out of the first round in each of its past six appearances at the NCAAs. The Tigers have made two Sweet 16 appearances during that stretch.
- The Tigers are 16-16 all-time at the NCAA Volleyball Championships.
- A trio of Tigers were named All-SEC in 2020-21. Outside hitters Kylie Deberg and Anna Dixon each joined setter Andrea Fuentes in earning the honors. Deberg also earned her third-straight AVCA All-Region selection.
- Senior outside hitter Kylie Deberg made her case toward a third All-America selection by leading the SEC in kills (400), kills/set (4.71), points (468), points/set (5.51), aces (40) and aces/set (0.47). Her kills, kills/set, points, points/set and total aces numbers all rank among the top 10 in the country.
- Deberg is the first player to lead the SEC in kills/set in consecutive seasons since 2003-04. She is just the fifth to accomplish the feat in SEC history (1983-present).
- Sophomore Claudia Dillon ranks eighth in the SEC with a .360 hitting percentage. Dillon posted a stellar second campaign, racking up 138 kills to finish third on the team in the regular season.
- Andrea Fuentes ranks fourth in the SEC with 10.15 assists/set. Fuentes helped the Tigers hit .266, third-best in the league and 23rd nationally.
