Soccer Continues SEC Play with Alabama, Tennessee

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Soccer (4-4, 0-1) will play a pair of SEC matches this weekend. First, the Tigers will hit the road and take on Alabama (5-5, 0-1) on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT on SECN+. Mizzou will then return home to face No. 17 Tennessee (7-1, 0-1) at 3 p.m. in Columbia for alumni weekend and senior day. That match will air on SEC Network.
Last time out, the Tigers fell to South Carolina by a score of 2-1. Blythe Beldner scored her second career goal to level the score in the second half, but a late goal from the Gamecocks gave the visitors the win.
Milena Fischer added an assist to increase her point total to 13 (4 G, 5 A) on the season, leading all Tigers. She has added 11 points (4 G, 3 A) over her last 4 matches. She currently is tied for sixth in the SEC with five assists on the year.
Blythe Beldner, Cassidy Nurnberger, and Macy Trujillo will be recognized on Sunday for senior day. Senior day was previously scheduled earlier in the season, but due to the match being postponed, Beldner, Nurnberger and Trujillo opted to be recognized later in the season. Momola Adesanmi, Julissa Cisneros, and Skye Kingsley were recognized during the Indiana State match.
