• The Tigers have won their last three contests, defeating Mississippi State at home before a pair of road wins at South Carolina and Texas A&M.
• Five Tigers scored in double figures in their win at Texas A&M on Wednesday – led by a season-high 23 points from Trent Pierce.
• Senior Mark Mitchell leads MU overall with 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game – recording a career-best eight helpers Wednesday.
• Jayden Stone is second with 14.8 points, while Jacob Crews (10.5) and Pierce (10.2) also score in double figures.
• The Tigers are averaging 80.5 points per game, while allowing 73.9.
ABOUT THE LONGHORNS
• Texas enters the weekend with a 15-9 overall record and 6-5 mark in conference action.
• UT has also won three-straight games, coming off a 79-68 win versus Ole Miss last Saturday.
• Dailyn Swain leads Texas with 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
• Overall, four Longhorns score in double figures with Matas Vokietaitias second with 15.3 points.
• Texas is averaging 85.2 points on the offensive end, while allowing 74.6 defensively.
SERIES HISTORY
• In a series that dates back to 1923, Mizzou owns a slight 14-13 edge over the Longhorns.
• Last season, the former Big 12 foes played for the first time as SEC opponents with Texas prevailing at home, 61-53.
• The teams are meeting in Columbia for the first time since 2012 where the Tigers hold a 7-4 advantage over the Longhorns.
CONTROLLING THE PAINT
• The Tigers have made it a habit to win the battle in the paint this season.
• Mizzou has outscored SEC teams inside, 396 to 282 – a margin of more than 10 points per game (36.0 to 25.6).
• In Wednesday's win versus the Aggies, Mizzou outscored Texas A&M, 56-28, in the paint.
• The 56 points are the most Mizzou has scored in the paint in an SEC game (previous high was 52 against LSU in 2013) and the 28-point margin ties its largest in SEC play (also versus Oklahoma this season and LSU in 2013).
PAINT NUMBERS
• Overall, Mizzou owns one of the strongest teams in the paint this season among SEC schools.
• The Tigers margin of 10.4 points in conference play rank second overall.
• The real strength of the team's interior presence is on the defensive end where Mizzou ranks first by allowing only 25.6 paint points per game – nearly three points better than second place.
PIERCING IMPACT
• Trent Pierce is coming off perhaps the best game of his career on Wednesday, helping the Tigers to an 86-85 win at Texas A&M.
• Pierce tallied a season-best 23 points (just one shy of his collegiate high) to go with a career-best nine rebounds.
• In 11 games since returning from injury, Pierce is now tallying 10.2 points and 4.1 rebounds per game – shooting 48.8 percent overall and 39.6 percent from 3-point range.
MULTIPLE THREATS
• Mizzou has constantly proven it has a number of players that can lead the team to victory.
• With Trent Pierce's 23-point game Wednesday, Mizzou has now had six different players score at least 20 points in a game this season.
• Additionally, of the 13 players to feature for Mizzou this year, 11 have scored in double figures at least once.
ALL-AROUND LEADER IN MITCHELL
• The team's top threat remains Mark Mitchell as he's the team's all-around leader in 2025-26.
• Mitchell leads Mizzou in points (17.2), rebounds (5.7) and assists (3.5) this season.
• He is aiming to become just the second player in school history to lead the Tigers in all three categories, joining Albert White in 1998-99.
MR. VERSATILE, MARK MITCHELL
• Mark Mitchell and his all-around game has been on display throughout the season.
• Mitchell is just one of 11 players in the nation to have totaled 400 points, 130 rebounds and 80 assists during the 2025-26 campaign (Texas' Dailyn Swain is the only other SEC player).
• The senior is attempting to be the first Tiger to tally 17 points, five rebounds and three assists since Big Eight Player of the Year Anthony Peeler in 1991-92.
• In Wednesday's win over Texas A&M, Mitchell tallied a career-best eight assists for Mizzou.
