GAME RECAP
The contest began as a back-and-forth battle, with Mitchell putting Missouri on the board with a pair of jumpers. The Tigers built an early lead with a Stone triple followed by a TO Barrett layup in the paint. Mizzou notched the largest lead of the first half, 12-7, seven minutes in before the Longhorn offense made a run to tie the game with 11 minutes to go.
The teams continued to trade leads, as MU held Texas to 37.3 percent from the field in the first half. Robinson then sunk a fast-break three, turning the score to 31-30 with less than two minutes remaining in the half. The Longhorns were able to add a late and-one on the Tigers before heading to the locker room with a two-point edge, 33-31.
Texas carried the lead coming out of the break, with Missouri's offensive effort looking to close the gap. Barrett was able to nab a steal on the defensive end, resulting in a Nicholas Randall dunk to get within two. Less than a minute later, Randall tipped in another one to bring the game to a 41-all tie with 14:39 to play.
Texas then went on an 18-7 run to pull away, making 16 field goals to Missouri's eight in the second half, and go on to an 85-68 victory. Overall, the Longhorns scored on 24 of their final 29 possessions to secure their fourth-straight win.
