
Women's Basketball to Face Auburn in MU Health Care Pink Out Game

Mizzou women's basketball will host Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday in Mizzou Arena. The contest will be broadcast on SEC Network+ and the Tiger Radio Network.
Mizzou (16-11, 4-8 SEC) enters the contest following a loss to Tennessee last Thursday.
Junior guard Grace Slaughter totaled 20 points, three rebounds and two assists. Slaughter has scored 20 or more points in 13 games this season.
Junior guard Shannon Dowell added 11 points, five boards and two steals.
Slaughter is 27th in the country and fifth in the SEC with 19.1 points per game this season. The junior has played 40 or more minutes in three contests and is 15th in the country and second in the SEC with 35.8 minutes per game this year.
In addition, the junior has nearly doubled her rebounding average from 3.6 to 7.0 per game this season.
Slaughter was named to the Cheryl Miller Award Small Forward of the Year Mid-Season Watch List on Feb. 4.
On the season, Mizzou is ranked 19th in the country and fifth in the SEC in 3-point percentage at 36.4%.
The Tigers are 26th nationally and fourth in the SEC with 8.6 makes from beyond the arc per game.
Individually, sophomore guard Chloe Sotell (38.8%) is eighth in conference in 3-point percentage.
Mizzou ranks seventh in the country and first in the SEC in free-throw percentage at 79.3%. Dowell (119) and Slaughter (104) are second and sixth, respectively, in the conference in free throws made.
Opposite the scoring end, the Tigers are 23rd in the country and fifth in the league in defensive rebounding with 28.8 per game.
Mizzou head coach Kellie Harper began her post-playing career at Auburn as an administrative assistant before being promoted to assistant coach under legendary head coach Joe Ciampi.
Harper's husband Jon served as a practice player and manager at Auburn from 1996-99.
Auburn enters Thursday at 13-13, including a 2-10 mark in SEC play, following a loss at Texas A&M on Sunday.
Head coach Larry Vickers is in his first season at the helm of the program after a 10-year stint at Norfolk State, where he held a 177-99 total record.
Auburn's roster is headlined by freshman guard Harissoum Coulibaly, who leads her team in points (10.6) and assists (1.6) per game.
Sunday will mark the 19th game between the teams. Mizzou leads the all-time series 10-8, including a 5-2 mark in Columbia.
The contest will serve as the Tigers' MU Health Care breast cancer awareness game as Mizzou will recognize those affected by breast cancer throughout the contest.
